WHO AM I?
(This was written 4 years ago when I started this blog - updates at bottom)I will try to list off as many things as I can think of:
My name is Helen.
I am female.
I am proudly 30 years old.......waaa hhhaaahaahaaa! :(
I have black hair....usually.
I was born in Lancashire, England
I live in Abbotsford BC.
I live with Derek.
In sin.
Sin sin sin! Horrible black filthy sin mwahahahahaha!!!
I think he is the coolest.
We ride mountain bikes.
A lot.
I ride so much my fingers are always sore from hanging on and I always have black oil on my calves.
We have a company called Charged Multi Media.
We basically do web design, graphics, video, and software. I look after the video and graphics mostly and some web design.
Derek does all the amazing magical programming.
I have a lot of respect for him.
He is my best friend.
I have a sister and a brother who are both married with kids.
I am alergic to kids unfortunately so I can't have my own.
We will have robots instead.
I am an artist, I do all kinds of art. Painting, sculpting, writing, designing, welding things, taxidermy whatever takes my fancy.
I sometimes see what is going to happen before it happens and I don't know why. Not deja vu.
I try to read as much as I can to learn about the universe, and people, and physics and politics.
Then I talk about it with Derek.
I can be a bit closed sometimes but inside I am quite sensitive.
Life has toughened me up a bit though.
I tend not to seek out people. Infact I usually spend time alone or with only one other person.
I am not a very social creature by nature but on the other hand I am perfectly comfortable speaking to a large crowd.
I am comfortable leading as well although reluctant to.
I spend a lot of time thinking about everything.
When I get to know a person and I like them them, deep inside I really love them even if I don't know how to say it.
I love it when strange things happen.
I Love riding the north shore
I love watching bizzare foreign films that noone has ever heard of
I love reading about physics
I love reading cyber punk novels
I love painting
I love writing
I love it when I can actually write or paint something that I think is good
I love dogs
I love walking on cold sand
I love wandering around cities that I have never been in
I love driving through BC
I love getting letters
I love being in the middle of a forest
I love a cold strongbow on a hot day
I love ghost stories by the fireside
I love summer
I love thick hair
I love shaved heads
I love tea
I love chocolate chip mint icecream
I love wearing sandals and sarongs
I love watching people forgive each other
I love being on a boat
I love watching the sun on the water
I love watching stars
I love crying with friends
I love owls
I love most kinds of music
I love it when elderly people smile at me.
I love the feel of homemade ceramic cups.
I don't like shopping
I don't like campsite bathrooms
I don't like car fresheners
I don't like months of winter
I don't really like phones or talking on them
I don't like people who let their dogs loose unsupervised
I don't like theatre floors
I don't like snobby people
I don't like cats that scratch
I don't like spiders, I like frogs better
I don't like driving in lots of traffic
I don't like narrow minded people
I don't like baking because I burn things a lot
I don't like it when fluorescent bulbs smash right behind me in my house, scaring the life out of me and spraying glass everywhere in a 20 foot radius that is impossibly difficult to vacuum up out of the carpet and you have to wear sandals all the time just incase.
I don't like discovering hypocrisy in myself
I don't like being bored

Updates from ... 1.5 years later.....
What has changed about me in the last 1.5 years?
Well lets see. My age hasn't. I'm still 30.
The place I was born definately has changed though. I was born in a gypsy caravan in Romania.
Everything else is still acurate except that I live in Langley now and I don't wear sarongs any more.
Oh yes, and I am now Wil Wheatons best friend.
And I have a dog.
Named Emma.
And I have more shoes.
That's about it.
Time to update again, It's now 4 years later.
It is rumored that I am now 34 although you can feel free picture me as 15 and lonely if it makes the blog more interesting for you.
Let's see, what's changed in the last couple years.
*peruses list*
Well, we now live in Deep Cove, North Vancouver now. (we move too much)
I still definately do NOT wear sarongs and have now destroyed all photo evidence of ever having worn one.
Wil Wheaton is no longer my best friend, he stopped e-mailing years ago. I think his wife got jealous.
My new best friends are: Quentin Tarantino, Jon Heder, Dylan Tremblay, Stephen Merchant and William Shatner. Although none of them are aware of it at this time, I will be sending out notices via e-mail shortly to inform them of their new, elevated status.
